Shane's F1 Birthday Surprise

Hi Friends,

This is a go-fund-me to help our dearest Shane celebrate his golden 29th birthday in style. More specifically, funds will go towards a 2025 Barcelona Formula 1 Grand Prix ticket!

Why

Shane is thoughtful, dedicated, goofy, incredibly kinda and most importantly in this case, passionate about his sports. Shane has the rare ability to see through the personal facades that we create from our achievements, ambitions, insecurities and vanity. He looks strait into our hearts and values only the goodness in peoples. The relationships in his life mean everything to him. You always know, wether its been a day or years since last seeing him, that he will show up when you need him and support you with true compassion.

This year is Shanes golden birthday meaning he turns 29 on the 29th of September. This only happens once in a lifetime. As such Shane had really big plans for how he wanted to spend this special day. As you can image these plans centered around spending time with the people he loves - also drinking a lot of beers and doing a lot of activities - but you all are the important part. In contrast to these plans, on his 29th birthday Shane is going to be two weeks into moving to a foreign country with no friends and on an extremely tight budget. Although we cant exactly bring the festivities to Spain, we can do the next best thing and collectively provide him with a gift that he will love and will reflect how much we love him.

What

A 2025 F1 Grand Prix Ticket! Shane talks constantly about wanting to attend one of these multi day events, however, they are not cheep. The Grand Prix in Spain is one of the cheapest and tickets run between 250 and 500 Euro (exact prices will not be available until November). My hope is that by all chipping in a little bit we can cover the cost of his ticket. The race is May 29 - June 1st 2025. A HUGE bonus would be having any of you come visit Barcelona and come to the race. I will cover my ticket and celebrate with him.

When

Id love to have the funds ready to give him by his birthday at the end of September however the important thing is to have them available in November when tickets go on sale. So really when ever is convenient for you.

How

Any amount that you'd like to donate is greatly appreciated. I do not want anyone to feel obligated. If you do want to contribute Ill leave it up to you to decide what makes sense. As some rough guidelines, if 20 people contribute we will hit the $400 target with each person contributing $20. I think it is likely (at least I hope) there will be ticket options for less that $400 so it is not strictly necessary to hit this target. Any excess funds will go to beers for Shane at the event.
