help shane mcauliffe get top surgery!

SURGERY DATE: November 4th, 2024

Some of my earliest internet memories involve going onto youtube and looking up female to male transition and top surgery timelines. I yearned for the day that I could be that brave and free, but I never thought it would come.

Alas, after years of dealing with my repressed past, I finally realized in 2020 that I am, was, and always have been a boy. I’ve spent the past 5 years wearing a binder consistently due to my dysphoria. 

Getting top surgery would quite literally lift the weight off my chest that is permitting me from living my life the way I want to. It’s the one thing holding me back in life right now, and after being on testosterone for a while, getting on the right balance of medications, finding a great therapist, and having a consultation with a great doctor, I’m ready!

My consultation was on August 19th though, and I’ve yet to hear back or get an approval from insurance. This has led to constant anxiety and panic, because in 2 months I turn 26, and I won’t have insurance at all. 

I need this surgery to save my life.

 I can’t pursue my acting dreams or work or really even go out in public until this happens.
