SHANELL NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

Hello friends, I’m creating this fundraiser for my dear friend Shanell Nelson. Shanell has been suffering from breathing complications for several months due to seven tumors in her throat and thyroid area that have been putting pressure on her windpipes. On Monday May 1, the doors of Shanell’s job closed its doors out of nowhere… rent was just paid. Shanell’s surgery is scheduled May 8th (this coming Monday) to remove these tumors. She will not be able to return to work for at least 2-3 weeks. Here’s the fun part, she just was notified that she would have to pay her total bill of this procedure in full before the surgery. This procedure considered cosmetic because the tumors are benign. This procedure is crucial to improve Shanell’s quality of life. She has had little time to plan for this financial inconvenience. This has been a long frustrating road filled with many hiccups. Shanell is one of the hardest workers I know, she hates the idea of asking for help, so I will ask on her behalf and advocate for my friend. My goal is to cover surgery costs + aftercare, no one should have to worry while recovering.
