Shane's Mission Trip to Costa Rica

Hi, my name is Shane Hessling. I always enjoyed volunteering and serving at church, Youth for Christ, and Special Needs Therapy while going to school. However, recently I have really felt a call to put the needs of others above my personal plans and go serve by living alongside the indigenous Bribri and Cabecar people of Costa Rica for 3 months.
From September through November, I will be serving in various villages in the most remote and least developed region of Costa Rica, the southeast region of Talamanca. So remote, that some of the villages will be inaccessible by vehicle.
I will be part of a small team that will partner with the indigenous leaders, schools, and churches of various villages for outreach programs and daily activities. This can range from helping build a church, working on a banana farm, or helping teach English at the local schools.
A trip like this would not be possible without external support. I would greatly appreciate if you would support me through prayer and possibly a donation. Knowing that people are praying for me will help encourage me when life gets challenging living out of a backpack in the jungle.
