Sunday December 15th My sweet uncle Shane gained his angel wings after a long battle with Pancreatic cancer. Last September he was admitted into the hospital for what was thought to be pancreatitis but turned out to be Pancreatic Cancer. He was on chemo up until May and then ended up having a Whipple procedure done and the doctors and everyone had thought they got it all but 3 weeks later we got the news that it had spread to his liver and lymph nodes, after that he decided to take part in a experimental trial which was not successful. After that the doctors had said there was nothing left to do and they decided to stop all treatment. On November 1st he was admitted into the hospital with a Pneumonia and ended up being transferred to a nursing home and that was where he lived out the rest of his days. He leaves behind lots of very close family but most importantly 4 young children and his beautiful wife. Anything would be greatly appreciated to help during this time, as we all know funerals and medical expenses can rack up quickly.
