Shane Scott-Travis Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
Our great friend Shane Travis messaged me recently to say that he had not been well. He had been experiencing a bloated and painful abdomen, and agonizing shoulder cramps. Upon receiving medical care including ultrasound, CT, and blood work: spots were found on his liver and abdomen. Biopsy has confirmed that these spots are cancer.
His final diagnosis was stage 4 appendiceal carcinoma. Cancers of the appendix are a rare and very aggressive form of cancer, and Shane has a long road ahead through chemotherapy and treatment.
Shane has had to leave work due to treatment, and now Sonn has also taken time away to care for him.
We are hoping that the donations, which will be donated directly to Shane, will help support Shane while he is unable to work, pay for new medications, and other medical costs stemming from this sudden and unfortunate change in his health.
An additional issue that has come up has been the need to seek alternative housing during treatment. Shane's treatment has left him unable to climb the three flights of stairs to their current apartment. Some of the funds are urgently needed and will go toward helping to secure more accessible accommodations.
Truly every little bit helps, please join us as we all pray for Shane's recovery and for the well being of his family.
