Shane needs us!

To know Shane Atkinson is to love him. (Am I right ?) Shane has gone through some trying health issues as of late. As you know, Shane is a very private man when it comes to his own health and needs because he always puts everyone else first. Just over a month ago, Shane found out that he had ulcers in both of his feet. I only found this out because I happened to be in Utah for a family emergency. I wanted to meet for dinner. He sent me pictures of his feet and I was in shock. Turns out he had holes in the bottom of both of his feet with bone exposed. This led to several doctor appointments and ultimately surgery. The infection has spread through his body. He is being treated with antibiotics currently. However, in the process he did lose part of his foot. We aren’t sure the damage that is still to come from the infection. We are just glad that this didn’t cost him his life, because that could’ve been the outcome according to his physicians. Since his diagnosis not only has it caused him to stay out of work, unable to provide the way he has for his family, it has also led to Lori, staying home to help with both Betty and Shane. Shane is not in a happy place right now. He is questioning his purpose in general and wondering how to provide for his family. So,today I am reaching out because he’s like a brother to me, and all of you. He needs our help. Any donation to help towards their upcoming medical bills, regular household needs, groceries, and potential care in the future would mean the world to him. He would never allow this to happen. I am not letting him know that I am doing this for him. I have however, been in touch with his lovely fiancé Lori, who has been caring for them all during this hard time. Lori, being such a light, has supported this ask and cause to ensure that they can stay above water during these tough times.
