My dad, Shane ‘Mayo’ Madeley, has silently been battling a recent diagnosis of Motor Neuron Disease, a rare and progressive neurological condition that affects muscle strength, movement, and independence.
This diagnosis has turned his/my family’s whole world upside down. Once active, hardworking, and always the first to lend a hand, Dad is now facing challenges that make everyday tasks incredibly difficult. Now he’s the one who needs help, and we’re doing everything we can to make life a bit easier for him in whatever way we can. Sadly, he’s been unable to work for a quite a while now, and the financial strain is taking its toll as my Mum is also needing to work less to help him day to day.
I am raising funds to help cover:
• A wheelchair and mobility equipment to help him stay independent
• Ongoing medical bills, specialist appointments & medications
• Regular therapies to help maintain strength and comfort
• Support for lost income while he focuses on his health and wellbeing
Every donation, big or small, will go directly towards making life a little easier for Dad and ensuring he gets the care he deserves.
If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this page or leaving a kind message means the world to us.
Thank you so much for the kindness, love, and support — it’s something we will never forget.
