Shane Mallison's Fight for Life
Donation protected

Hi everyone, I’m Casey, a very close friend of the Mallison family. I am asking you all for some help. As some of you may know, Shane recently has suffered from some unexpected health complications.
In mid August Shane was not feeling well which resulted in him going to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). A week later he started chemotherapy and was discharged home, only to return a few days later with a change in his condition.
His family started noticing he was experiencing stroke like symptoms & was immediately medevaced to Abington hospital where he was diagnosed with a large bleed on the left side of his brain and a small bleed on the right side (hemorrhagic stroke). Due to the bleeding, the right side of his body was paralyzed. He was admitted to Jefferson Neuro ICU in Center City.
After a week in ICU, he developed more swelling on the brain due to the injury and had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the left half of the skull to allow room for brain swelling and was placed on a ventilator.
As of today they were able to remove the ventilator and we are anxiously awaiting for Shane to start moving and speaking to us as he becomes more and more alert.
There is very limited visitation at this time due to his condition and the pandemic. Please pray for continued healing for the long journey ahead.
Please know 100% of your donations will go to Shane and his family during this difficult time to help with bills, parking, tolls, gas, and all current and future medical needs. No donation is too small.
