If you know Shane, you can't help but notice he is passionate. About a lot of things. Friends. Animal welfare. Canada. The hacker community. Another one of those things is street luging. Unfortunately it was during the pursuit of this passion that an accident left him with a leg fractured in several places, a great amount of pain and mounting medical costs.
Asking for help is never easy, especially when the help needed is financial in nature. So, that is why we created this GoFundMe page. So he didn't have to... and because he wouldn't have.
Speaking personally, I can attest that whenever I've needed help, Shane has always been one of the first to offer any assistance he could. I know I am not alone in this experience. So it is with this in mind that with the help of family, friends, neighbors and strangers, we hope to ease the financial impact this has had on him in the hopes that Shane can concentrate on getting the medical attention he needs so he can recover from these painful injuries.
