Shane Handa’s family

My brother Shane “Shaney” Handa took his own life on Dec 8, 2022.

Shane was a funny, charismatic, loving friend and family member. His passing comes as an absolute shock to us all. I still can’t believe it. Our love goes out to everyone who knew him.

Shane will have a memorial in Las Vegas on Dec 17th, 2022. Please message if you are interested in attending.

His final resting place will be in Hawai’i, where he was born. He will be buried alongside our grandfather and uncles in a family grave.

I am raising money because our parents need financial support. My dad’s workplace is also closing at the end of the year, increasing their need for a financial safety net while they grieve and recover. The money raised will help our family get through this extremely difficult time. Any contributions are appreciated.

Funds will be used to cover costs associated with his passing, including medical bills, cremation, burial, memorial, and whatever else arises.

Money will also be used to support my parents and our family, including airfare, therapy/mental health care, processing his possessions, lost income from grieving, and more.

I never thought in my entire life he would leave us so soon and in this way. I compel you to check on your loved ones today and reaffirm their place on this earth especially if they seem withdrawn.
