Shane Lee Hamman 47, of Toms Brook, VA passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.
The family suggests that, In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial donations here for his children.
A funeral service for Shane will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church followed by a Celebration of Life.
Shane was born in Front Royal, VA on July 2, 1971 a son of Johnny Allen Hamman and the late Stephanie Ann Stickley. Shane was an avid outdoorsman who would jump at the chance to hunt, fish or ride his Harley.
Shane was a dedicated employee at Homestead Building Systems. There he found his second family and loved every minute working personally with each coworker. Our family would like to express our gratitude for all of their love and support. He will be truly missed by everyone who met him as he never met a stranger and would help out at the drop of a hat.
Shane was a devoted family man. In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving wife Bernadette; his sons, Devin and fiancé Destinee, Dakota and fiancé Corenda, Austin, Seth, and honorary son, his nephew Colt, along with his two daughters Savannah, and Shayna. He was Pap-Pap to grandsons Mason, and Bryson; and granddaughter Ava. He is also survived by a brother, Derek and sister, Amber. He was also instrumental in the lives of his various nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Devin Hamman, Austin Hamman, Seth Hamman, Dakota Hamman, Colt Cowgill and Willy Rutz.
Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Hamman, Roger Gordon, Anthony Adams, Matt Miller, Carlton See and Tim Breeden.
The family will receive friends at Liberty Baptist Church, located at 29110 Old Valley Pike Strasburg, Virginia, on Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
