Shane Derrick Memorial Fund

Shane went to be with his Lord Father after a tragic unexpected accident on March 15. 2018 at the age of 42. Survived by his five children and his wife.  God bless you all and keep your family close. We are asking for help for memorial funds for our family. We weren't prepared so we didn't have life insurance, or savings.   My husband was fighting severe depression and mental illness that he kept hidden for too long until it was too late. To the public our life and his seemed like a perfect family, in prvate moments Shane had lost all hope in life and no one could bring him back to us the way he used to be!  Please anyone out there that has a family member fighting with depression, mental illness that they try to hide with alchohol know they are suffering inside to an extent that you can't imagine. Shane was a loving husband and father of 5 (4 boys and 1 girl). His children were his pride and joy. He was my whole world, my best friend for 23 years, my husband for 15 years.  The dreams we had for our children, our family, our future. He helped so many people where we live he was know as the angel on Moon Valley, he was always helping someone without wanting anything in return.  His heart was made of gold and such kindness. We had 1 daughter out of 5 children and that was daddy's lil girl. Such a proud moment when they went to the father/daughter dance.  He was so proud to teach his boys his trade of construction and doing projects with all of them. He started with Tyler at a young age.  Hi lil Luke was the baby of the family and daddy loved when he played soccer so well!  So proud of Nathon when he graduated the National Guard.
