On October 26th Shane went in for open heart surgery. After a lengthy procedure that was met with multiple complications Shane’s heart is not fully functional and he has not yet regained consciousness. He has been in ICU and will remain there as his body rests and allows his heart and the rest of his body to heal. It is unknown how long this will take. Diana and Shane’s two sons are working closely with the medical team to ensure Shane is getting best care and the best support available.

Shane is a fighter with a huge heart! His infectious smile, quick wit and vibrant presence is making a huge hole in so many lives. He is so passionate about helping people and his devotion to this is evident in his job and his personal life.

His medical expenses are accumulating, and he will need extensive medical care and therapy going forward as he recovers and is unable to work. Anything family and friends can do to assist is greatly appreciated by those who are currently handling all these burdens. It’s overwhelming to face so much information and make so many decisions.
