Shane Cooper

Hi everyone!

As I’m sure you are all aware by now our friend Shane Cooper was involved in a serious accident in Thailand on February 16th 2025. It resulted in 4 broken ribs, a broken and dislocated ankle that required emergency surgery on February 24th 2025. Luckily he did not sustain any head injuries. He spent two weeks in the hospital there and was released.

Yesterday he was readmitted to the hospital with a serious infection at the surgical site. Again he will require emergency surgery and care, and another two week hospital stay.

The accident was caused by a driver coming out of an intersection in wrong lane. Shane swerved to avoid the collision but came close to a separate head on collision. When Shane tried to return to original lane he leaned too hard for the bikes capabilities and went down. The bike landed on his foot, he hit the road pretty hard using his forearm to break the fall, which resulted in him breaking 4 ribs.

Unfortunately Shane did not purchase emergency medical insurance and was denied any coverage as he is already in an emergency situation.

Shane is facing extraordinary medical expenses and has now depleted his savings as a result. I know we are all facing hardships at this time but I am hoping that we can all pull together and help him as much as we can. Every little bit will help him get the care he requires at this time. They will not continue care without payment for services.
