It is with deep sadness that I share with you that our colleague Shane Carpenter unexpectedly passed away yesterday.

Shane was a recent addition to The SSL Store as a sales copywriter within the Marketing team at the St Petersburg office. When he joined us earlier this year, it was his first introduction to the tech industry—he dove in with both feet and started learning everything from cybersecurity basics and server terminology to Enterprise PKI Manager. Shane was also an athlete, MMA fighter, and coach in the Tampa Bay area and made a significant impact on many in his wider community.

For those based in St. Petersburg, we will share any information about services and memorials as they become available. We will also have grief counseling support available to Shane’s team and the wider St. Petersburg site in the coming days. In addition, to support Shane’s family during this time, DigiCert has established a Go Fund Me Page. We will leave the page open until Aug 26 for those who would like to donate to his family.
