In 7th grade, ShaNae was diagnosed with a degenerative heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Her heart has been failing for several years and after a pacemaker and several surgeries, the doctors determined she needed a new heart to live. She has been on the heart transplant list for the last two years, and yesterday, she got the call that was a perfect match for a new heart! Today, ShaNae has a new heart! We are so grateful to the donor and their family. Surgery has gone smoothly and she is now in recovery for the next six months. She has fought the good fight for years and we are so excited for this next chapter of her life and the opportunities that it will bring. We also know the road will be wrought with much physical, mental, and financial difficulty.

ShaNae is a loving, fiery redhead who has spent many years caring for and helping others through their personal challenges; it's ShaNae's turn to let us take care of her. 

As you can all imagine, a heart transplant isn't cheap. ShaNae will be out of work for at least six months. Please contribute what you can and/or share this post. ALL funds donated will be put directly toward medical expenses, the cost of living while she's out of work, and post-op treatment and care.
