My name is Katrina Anderson and I am raising funds for my sister Shana Thomas.

My sister, Shana, was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (DLBCL). Like others who have been affected by cancer, this diagnosis came as a shock and has left her and her family in distress.

Shana is 53 years old and is a Registered Nurse at Lakeview Hospital’s Emergency Room in Covington, Louisiana. For 29 years, Shana has been selflessly dedicated to the field of nursing and comes from a lineage of medical professionals. She has always been passionately devoted to caring for others. Her nursing career has given her the opportunity to care for so many people and to save countless lives. Now she is the one in the patient seat needing care.

Shana will be undergoing chemotherapy treatments for several months. These infusions will be extremely debilitating to her health which will make it impossible for her to continue working. In addition to the devastating diagnosis and costly chemo treatments, being unable to work puts her in a significant financial hardship.

I’ve created this Go Fund Me on her behalf because I know there is an infinite amount of people who would love to donate and extend a helping hand just as she has done for so many years. The goal is been set at $10,000. I am prayerful that we will have no problems reaching and possibly exceeding our goal.
