Be the light for Shams and her baby sister, Rufi
Don protégé
I'm Katy in the UK. I'm fundraising for Shams in Gaza. Here's her story in her own words:
From the heart of pain, I write to you. I'm Shams.
At a time when war was stealing life from us, God gave us a new life - my little sister, Rufi. She was born prematurely amidst the bombing and destruction. I stayed with her in the intensive care unit for days, holding onto the hops that she would survive.
Today, Rufi is a child not yet two years old. She needs milk and diapers - things we can no longer afford. Every day, I watch her grow up in hardship, and my heart breaks a little more.
I was a student with dreams of a future. This year was supposed to be my final semester. But the war shattered my dreams, just as it took my father, my home, and forced us into displacement. We're now without shelter, without work, without income. But we haven't lost our humanity ... and that's why I'm reaching out to you.
If you're reading my words, you might be the light that saves us from the darkness.
A small donation - even less than $5 - can make a difference beyond what you can imagine. It could buy a can of milk for Rufi, or a small blanket to protect us from the cold nights.
Please, if you can't donate, share my message. Spread it to your friends and family on any platform you can. Eery share brings us one step closer to surviving this.
I will receive donations via cryptocurrency.
If you'd like to help, or need more information, I'm here.
From Gaza ... from under the rubble ... we still dream, and we still believe someone out there is listening.
