and Shamandome deserves your support.

Shamandome Camp‘s gift of service to the community and to our fellow campers is unique at Burning Man. Since 2008, Shamandome is the only camp in Black Rock City dedicated to introducing newcomers to Core Shamanic practice while offering shamanic and other healing modalities in one-on-one sessions with experienced practitioners. We also host a varied program of workshops, many led by guest presenters, by opening our spaces to the healing community for a few hours each day.

Our work has recently been recognized in a new book on shamanism - "Shamanism - The Timeless Religion" by Manvir Singh, a cognitive and evolutionary anthropologist at the University of California, Davis, with an entire chapter devoted to Core Shamanism and his experiences at Shamandome. The book was just reviewed in The Atlantic.

Thousands of burners have reawakened their natural connection to the natural world, meeting their power animal in our circles or experiencing shamanic healing with our practitioners – many hundreds more every burn.

Our generous donors helped us rebuild after our losses in 2023.

We could still really use your help.

Shamandome has been operating in the red for years. We want to keep our camper fees accessible, and there are always infrastructure needs to be met. Our beloved Kitchen Tent - our Long House, our shelter, our community center - needs a new end panel. With the unpredictability of playa weather, we really need the security of a strong Kitchen Tent.

Our 2025 GoFundMe is dedicated to making all this happen, retiring the rest of the debt we incurred in '23, and keeping our camp financially accessible to everyone who is called to our mission - teaching Core Shamanism and healing.

Our goal for this fundraiser is $8,000.

For a camp our size, that's a big nut to crack, but with a little support from everyone, it will be easy to reach.

Your small gift, multiplied by many people's generosity, will go far in allowing us to continue our mission.
