Shall we count the living or the dead? Documentary

My name is Anders Huitfeldt, I am an Associate Professor in Evidence-Based Medicine at the University of Southern Denmark. This fundraiser is for a documentary about a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine 1958 by Mindel C. Sheps. Sheps' paper contains an important insight with real implications for clinical decision making, which has still not fully been recognized by medical statisticians or epidemiologists. Sheps' idea has since been rediscovered several times by researchers working in different academic fields, our plan is to travel across the United States and Canada with a small film crew in order to meet with some of these researchers, and possibly also with some people who knew Sheps, or historians who have written about her.
