Memorial fundraiser for Shalisha Dunbar

Dear Family and Friends,

I am setting up this GoFundMe account at the request of the family to help raise funds to cover the funeral expenses for Shalisha Dunbar.

Shalisha was a 42 year old single mother of 2. Her 16 year old daughter, Malajiah, is a sophomore at Dutchtown High School and a 2 year member of both the Color and Winter Guard teams. Her 20 year old daughter, Jaslyn, is a sophomore at LSU.

Shalisha became ill and was hospitalized for an infection within her body that attacked her kidneys and eventually caused kidney failure. She remained in the hospital for 1 month, but succumbed to her illness on April 9th.

Unfortunately, she did not have life insurance and her unexpected illness and untimely passing has left a big financial burden on her family.

All funds raised will go to cover the costs of the funeral and any additional expenses. If you are able to contribute, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please keep her friends, and family, especially her 2 daughters, in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this emotional and heartbreaking time in their lives.
