Shalisa Shaw's Funeral Expenses

Thank you so much for your interest in helping us cover the funeral costs for our beloved Shalisa.
On November 5th, 2015 the Lord humbly called Shalisa Dionne Shaw home to rest. Shalisa was born in Norman, Oklahoma on June 12th, 1972, to Julius and Linda Buckner; the oldest of three children.
Shalisa graduated from Travis High School in 1992. She briefly attended Texas State University but later went on to earn an Associates of Applied Science in Business Administration (Summa Cum Liaude) from Kaplan University in 2012. She began working for Texas Mutual Insurance Company in 1994, where she remained for twenty years as a Training Coordinator. She was known to her colleagues for her beautiful and comforting smile, compassionate heart and her quiet strength.
She married Westley Shaw Sr. in 2000. Over the years, Westley and Shalisa set about teaching their children the importance of faith, responsibility, respect and living a holy life. Her children remember her as a gentle, sweet, and zealous mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. In her leisure she enjoyed reading scripture, signing hyms and teaching others about the word of God. She was an active member in many booster clubs and school organizations.
Shalisa was brought up in the church and baptized at New Birth Baptist Church in Plano Tx. Once married she was baptized again alongside her husband at Wheless Lane Church of Christ where she was an active and dedicated member until her illness prevented her from attending.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her parents, Linda and Julius Buckner of Dallas Tx; husband, Westley Shaw Sr.; children, Maurice Crayton, Westley Shaw Jr., Tiarra Buckner, Eric Dillard, Tatiana Shaw, and Braylen Shaw; siblings, Kevin Buckner and Amber Buckner, one grandchild Zayden Ray Shaw and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am on November 12th, 2015 at Wheless Lane Church of Christ ( 2702 Wheless Lane Austin Tx).
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shalisa’s home going.
