Shalina's Journey to Win the Battle of Cancer
Donation protected
#WeinersWarriors, thank you all for you continued support for my sister. Y'all are amazing!
News update.... Shalina's tumor on her kidney has shrunk to a size considered "undetectable" and the tumors on her spine have shrunk as well. As we continue on her journey, Doctor's have decided to do a regimine of chemo to aid in her fight to be cancer free. Although her spine tumors are chemo resistant, this treatment will aid to help prevent spread. Please keep my sister in your thoughts as she starts this treatment early December.
To all the #WeinersWarriors, I am Sherie, Shalina's, aka Weiner's, sister. We've come to a bump in the road and we need your help to overcome.
Let me tell you a little snippet of who my sister is.......... We are 1 yr & 6 months apart; just enough that we are more best friends than sisters (not saying we didn't fist fight over laundry at times). She has a soul of gold that wraps around you and gravitates you to love her. She has a consistant positive attitude, a seriously contagious laugh, and loves everyone with zero judgement. She always knows what to say when you need her most while encouraging and enabling you to be a better person than you are today. But, most of all, my sister is legitimately hilarious!
Shalina is a single mom of Teighlor, Braylee, & Devon. She devotes her life and always fights for them unconditionally. She has an unquestionable love for her friends, considers them family, and loves them "to the depths of every hole in the universe". If Shalina is not at home, she is living & breathing her motorcyle and/or softball.
Earlier this year, Shalina was originally diagnosed with kidney cancer. She completed a bout of chemo in hopes to shrink the tumor in her kidney. Upon the great news of the tumor shrinking from 5cm to 3cm, there was a discovery of 2 more tumors on her spine. Her cancer had spread. Biopsy results showed stage 3 cancer and chemo & radiation resistant, so she's been placed on an all natural treatment. She continues her care at Cleveland Clinic.
Shalina quoted, "Sometimes we go through hell for no reason and sometimes we go through hell because someone thinks we're built to do so and we can handle anything thrown our way!!! Today I found out that someone thinks I'm built to go through hell and come out on top."
Family, friends, and #WeinerWarriors, we ask that you come together to help Shalina's journey to win the fight against cancer. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to medical bills, medication not covered by insurance, and trips to Cleveland Clinic for Shalina and her kids.
On behalf of our Family, thank you all for your outpouring love for my sister. Her support system is amazing!
