In Loving Memory of Shalika Hudson
Donation protected
This fundraiser has been created in loving memory of Shalika Hudson with permission from her family. Many people, who have been touched by Shalika’s story of courage, resilience and bravery, have contacted the family asking what they can do to support. The family has written a message below:
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Shalika, who bravely battled terminal cancer for four long years. Despite her illness, Shalika never allowed it to define her; she continued to inspire and touch the lives of so many people around her. Her kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit will leave a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shalika was a devoted mother to her two beautiful children, who will now face life without their loving mother. Her absence creates a massive gap in the hearts of so many, especially her family and friends.
Shalika had one request for her send-off: Glitz and Glamour. We want to honour her wishes by giving her the best possible celebration of life that reflects her vibrant personality and the joy she brought into this world.
In addition to celebrating Shalika’s life, the family would also like to show their deep gratitude to Compton Hospice. They provided exceptional care, allowing Shalika to stay at home where she was most comfortable. Their support was invaluable, offering a shoulder to lean on and providing hope when it was needed the most.
The funds raised through this campaign will contribute to Shalika’s send-off, ensuring she receives the glorious farewell she truly deserves. Any additional donations will be given directly to Compton Hospice, to help support the incredible work they do for families like ours.
We are grateful for your love, support, and contributions during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for helping us honour Shalika and supporting her family in their time of need.
