Shakespeare Summer School at RADA in London

Hi! I'm Olivia (some of you may know me as Belle), and I was recently offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts' Shakespeare Summer School. This opportunity means I have the chance to spend five weeks in London at one of the top drama schools in the world, taking classes in dance, clown, mask, physical performance, stage fighting, singing, Alexander Technique, classical acting, and a masterclass conducted by a distinguished practitioner. There will be informal sharing of clown work, monologues, and sonnets. All this training is structured to investigate Shakespeare from an actor's perspective and explore the cornerstones of RADA's classical actor training. During the final week, we will work with a director to rehearse an abridged Shakespeare play and perform it a RADA theatre space.

Studying drama abroad in London has been a longtime dream of mine, and it would mean the absolute world to be able to attend this summer's intensive. The total cost of the course is $5,345, not including travel, housing, and food costs. As a college student working part-time, covering the full cost myself is difficult, so I have put together this fundraiser. Any and all help (whatever you feel led to give) is greatly appreciated!

In the event that I'm unable to raise all the funds I need to attend the program this year, I am planning to save whatever I have and re-apply for next summer.
