Shai Survives
Meet Shyanne, my oldest sister. She is the oldest daughter and sibling of her family. Shai is the oldest of her siblings and is a mother to 2 children. Shai is an Indigenous woman and is of Hopi, Diné & Paiute Indigenous bloodlines. She is currently fighting Multiple Myeloma cancer. After constant trips to the ER for severe neck pain & a biopsy she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer. Tumors were removed from multiple discs in her spine. Shai has been in a body brace since, and is limited to movement. As much as she has been through she is strong & resilient. She has been fighting since her diagnosis with radiation & chemotherapy.Shyanne was told her cancer had spread, and a transplant was needed.
In June while in the hospital her car was stolen and recently her home was broken into and vandalized. Many items were stolen from her home more importantly traditional pieces that cannot be replaced.
Shai resides in Tuba City, Az on the Navajo Nation. She was in Phoenix, AZ for her recent transplant when these incidents occurred. Shai is still under isolation and recovery.
I am asking my fellow brothers & sisters to help in whatever way you are able to help my sister and her family get back on her feet. She has had the toughest year and if I am able to help take any pain away I am willing to take on that task.
Donations, shares, prayers are ALL appreciated and welcomed. Thank you for your time.
