JUNE 29, 2023:

Taylor was released from the hosptial! The day following the accident she began receiving physical therapy. She had to learn to walk and move so as not to retear her intestines. Her recovery will continue at home.

* Shae has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. She would like everyone who donates to know that her goal is to ensure that Taylor has the time needed to recover both physically and emotionally even beyond her "protected FMLA" allowance without having to worry about finances. Thus the funds raised will support her journey to recovery including medical expenses and expenses from the accident.*

On the afternoon of Sunday June 25, 2023, Shae's children, Taylor (age 26), Desh (age 21) and her granddaughter, Ari (age 3) were driving home from their annual family vacation. Desh lost control of his car, and veered off of the freeway. The car hit a tree, flipped over and became engulfed in flames. Fortunately many people stopped to help and they were able to pull Desh, Taylor and Ari from the car. One of those people was a nurse named Christine- despite going in and out of consciousness, Taylor was able to tell Christine her mother's phone number, and Christine called Shae, who was travelling in a different vehicle ahead of Desh, and told her what happened, while also performing life saving measures on Desh.

Unfortuanetly, Desh did not survive the crash.

Baby Ari was airlifted to Children's Hospital while her mother Taylor was transported via ambulance to another hospital.

Ari has a broken collar bone while Taylor underwent emergency surgery to repair her torn instestines and is still in the hospital.

Shae's heart is huge- she is THE person everyone goes to for assistance, from friends, to family, to her children's school, to her church, she never says no to anyone, all while keeping her children, granddaughter, husband and family at the center of all that she does.

With this unexpected, unforseen and devestating accident, where Shae has lost her only son, and her daughter and grandaughter sustained serious injuries, she is in need of not only positive support and prayers but also any financial support available.

In addition to the medical bills for Taylor and Ari, there are also funeral/burial expenses for Desh.

Shae would never ask for anything for herself, which is why I created this page for her. She and her family need help- any and all would be greatly appreciated.

*Thank you to all who helped and especially to Christine- had you not called Shae, she and her husband would not have known until much later when they arrived home and the children were not there. Because of you they were able to get to the hosptial where baby Ari had to be airlifted to and get family to the hospital where Taylor was transported via ambulance.*
