Shady’s aftercare

Hi my names Danielle, on the 27th March 2023 my cat shady was knocked down by a driver in front of me right outside my house. After hitting shady I confronted him informing him that he hit my cat and his response was “he shouldn’t be crossing the road” I took shady to my vet he had an X-ray then was taken the next day to the queens Mother hospital for small animals. Shady’s back left hip was dislocated, and his right pelvis shattered in 7 places, he had his operation 10 days ago, spent 4 days afterwards in an oxygen tank because he caught pneumonia in his right lung. I insured shady for 12k and after two weeks in hospital he’s past that figure, I spent my savings to continue his care, he was given funding by the hospital but he’s been discharged yesterday and they said that he needs his stitches taken out next week and feeding tube but I’d have to go to my vets to get it done which is money I don’t have, and 8 weeks from now he’ll need another X-ray on his leg to see if the metal plate is set which is another expense I can’t afford he’s on a lot of medication at the moment and I’m doing his physiotherapy at home but it’s very stressful worrying about the bills
