Shadow wasn’t always slow.

There was a time when the wind couldn’t keep up with him, when his paws barely touched the ground and every backyard, park, and hike was his kingdom. He guarded his family like a loyal knight, and somehow always knew when someone needed a little extra love.

But lately… things have changed.

Shadow still wants to run. You can see it in his eyes—the same spark, the same excitement when someone reaches for a leash or says his name. His tail still wags just as hard. His heart is just as big.

It’s his hips that are letting him down.

Every step has gotten harder. Stairs feel like mountains. Even standing up takes effort now. But Shadow doesn’t complain. He still greets everyone with a smile and still shows up every single day with the same loyalty he always has.

Because that’s who he is.

Shadow has spent his whole life taking care of his people—protecting them, loving them, being there no matter what. And now, he needs a little help in return.

A wheelchair would change everything.

Right now, Shadow watches the world go by a little more than he used to.
