I’m creating this GoFundMe for my girlfriend’s cat, Shadow. She’s 5 years old, but she’s so small that most people think she’s still a kitten. Shadow isn’t just a pet she’s family. She’s the calmest, sweetest, and most caring cat I’ve ever met. When my girlfriend is upset, Shadow always cuddles up to her, as if she knows exactly how to comfort her. She’s never been aggressive, never bitten or scratched anyone. She’s pure love in a tiny body. Recently, Shadow got very sick. We’ve taken her to the vet multiple times, spent over $1,400 trying to figure out what’s wrong, but we still don’t have answers. The vets suspect it could be FIP, an infection, or cancer, but they need to do an abdominal ultrasound and more bloodwork to know for sure. We’ve already spent everything we had, and more trying to help her, and now we’re stuck while her condition is getting worse. Her back legs are weak, her face looks sunken on one side, she gags when she eats, and she’s clearly in pain. But despite all of this, she’s still fighting. She still eats. She still looks for love. We know times are tough, but anything you can give would help. Every dollar brings us closer to getting Shadow the care she needs and possibly saving her life.
