Shadow the German Shepherd needs help

Hi my name is Ron and I’m fund raising for Shadow who sadly lost his fight to stay with us in spite of numerous visits to various vets , tests , scans , bloods and biopsies. He was our 10 year old German Shepherd , the sweetest boy and loved by everyone that met him. No health problems in all his life but the last four weeks have been horrendous with three visits to emergency vets and two to our own and after a couple of scans and blood tests he was diagnosed with spondylosis. So pain medication was prescribed which we thought was working but today he wouldn’t eat and was struggling to walk , another trip to emergency vets who thought he might have bloat , we insisted on being referred to a veterinary hospital and maybe at last we’ll have some answers.

Sadly not the answers we wanted as following more X-rays and a CT scan they found a mass on his spleen and liver which was diagnosed as a progressive form of cancer , his tummy was full of fluid some of which was blood. Our choice was to operate but only a slim chance of survival and if he did he would probably live for approximately six weeks but not have the best quality of life.

He passed in our arms late last night , our costs over the last few weeks has far exceeded his insurance and I find myself embarrassingly here asking for help. I know some will say he was just a dog but he was so much more than that he was family a very big part of our family.
