Shadi (14) is trying to support his mother and sisters

Hi. My name is Harriet and I am fundraising for food for the Samsoum family.

The Samsoum family are a beautiful family, who have lost everything in the last 2 years; they are currently living in a tent and cooking what little food they can get on a small burner.

The father Nael used to run a small grocery shop and his wife Kifaya looked after their 4 daughters and 1 son (Shadi, pictured) at home, supporting and encouraging them in their studies.

They are all very studious, and they are heartbroken that their education, the key to the outside world for them when living in occupied Gaza, has been taken away from them.

Their physical and emotional health is seriously suffering. Gazan culture focusses on education very heavily as a way to serve their community with knowledge and skills, but also as a psychological and emotional escape from living in the incredibly harsh conditions of pre-war Gaza. 

Now, this family do not even have that. 

Shadi's sister, an engineering student, was forced to sell her phone and laptop to buy food for her family.

Please put yourselves in their shoes, and help to feed this family during this horrendous time for them.
