Shade's road to recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support. If you know me, you know my beloved girl, Shade—and if you know Shade, you know she absolutely loves food. Unfortunately, while we were out walking in Chicago, someone threw their lava stone onto the street after grilling. Shade, being the food-lover she is, mistaken the lava stone for something she could eat, and it ended up getting stuck in her small intestine. This caused a serious blockage in her small intestine, and she had to undergo emergency surgery to remove it. The surgery was critical.

Watching her struggle through this has been heartbreaking, and I’m doing everything I can to ensure she recovers well. Unfortunately, a surgery like this was expensive, yet my only option, and while I've applied for CareCredit, the ongoing costs for her treatments, medications, and follow-up care feel overwhelming.

It's not easy asking for money, but I love Shade and want to give her the care necessary. Therefore, I humbly ask for any assistance you can provide. Every small amount helps, and my goal is to offset even a small portion of the total cost of Shade’s surgery and recovery.

Shade’s been my loyal companion through thick and thin, bringing comfort, joy, and unconditional love every single day. She has the sweetest soul and loves every person she meets, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and way too many kisses.
