Shade McCord's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hello, I'm writing this on behalf of the McCord family. I am Shade's Niece, Heather Smith.

In June of 2021, Shade experienced a mild stroke. He was able to bounce back relatively quickly; however, on Feb 4, 2022, Shade had another pretty debilitating stroke, causing him to be airlifted to Providence Hospital in Waco.
In addition to all of this, Shade had a heart attack while in the hospital.
He spent two weeks at Providence and was then transferred to rehab in Palestine, where he stayed two days. On day 2, they discovered a brain bleed which put him BACK in the hospital for another two weeks.
This time he spent two weeks at Hillcrest in Waco.
He's currently back in the rehab center in Palestine, where he's undergoing daily physical, speech & occupational therapy. With that said, he's progressing in his recovery, and he will be coming home with a significant amount of disabilities. He will be in a wheelchair and needs a handicap-accessible home. We have purchased a 14x24 empty building, which is basically a shell, and it will need the following:
Flooring, electrical wiring, plumbing, installation, handicap bathroom accessories, etc...
Due to Shade being unable to work and not having healthcare insurance, we have decided to start this Go-Fund-Me me to assist with the supplies and labor cost.
We’ve estimated it will be approximately $5000.00+.
