Shad Hartwick.

Giday friends; we are starting a Crowd Fund for a true Aussie battler; Our mate Shad, or 'Shadrach' as I call him.. :)

Shad is a true fighter and survivor. His Dad was jailed for most of Shads life and his late, beautiful Mum had a serious health problem during his early years. (which she overcame and successfully started a new life).

During his early years , Shad protected his two brothers in which ever way it took. Never scared of anything or anyone he defended them with both hands and what ever money it took to keep them fed and safe. He was only a boy.

His younger brother Travis, tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2012. His wife passed away from cancer in 2019 leaving him with four children to try too provide for.

In 2021 he was diagnosed with stomach cancer and had his stomach removed. Still he fought on..

After his miraculous recovery from a terminal prognosis, he bravely took on a mature age apprenticeship with an engineering company, who have gone well beyond the call of duty, supporting him through the whole horrendous ordeal.

However, Shad is now in a serious position, because of another medical complication he has just undergone major surgery again and is unable to pay his rent or basic necessities.

Our mission is to give Shad some peace of mind knowing his rent and basic necessities will be covered over the next 12months.

The honourable Stephen Draper will be managing his funds and any of you that know Steve' or had dealing with him in his former bike shop Hendry Cycles will know the integrity and calibre of the man, his sensibility and fiscal restraint in managing of money.
