My name is Tamiko Whaley and I’m organizing this gofundme on behalf of my niece, Shacara Freeman. Shacara is a mother of two. Her son is a senior in high school and her daughter is 2 months old. She has a fiancé, Zeddy Roberts, and they were scheduled to get married on April 30th. After giving birth in January, Shacara was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. She was on maternity leave without pay, due to starting a new job. She was scheduled to return to work; however, due to her illness, she was unable to return. Shacara is currently in the hospital in Atlanta and the doctors have informed us that she needs a heart transplant. Unfortunately, Shacara has to await a new heart in the hospital and we are uncertain of how long that will be. Shacara’s fiancé has been by her side the entire time and the family has been doing all we can to care for their children. With the condition of her heart, we want to minimize any stress that Shacara may experience by worrying about her children and bills. We are asking our friends and family for any donations to assist with medical expenses, caring for her children, and any bills that may fall behind.
