Shabina khan

Many of you who know that my dear friend Shabina passed away yesterday leaving behind her two beautiful daughters. Shabina was my first friend when I moved to Dubai, we connected instantly and she is someone that I can never forget. from meeting at celebrations, to play dates with our girls (same ages), I feel a huge void now.

Shabina was a beautiful friend and amazing mother and I wish for her memory to always remain.

I’m starting this fundraiser and raising money to build a well as a sadaqah jariyah in her name. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” ( Muslim).

The gift of a Dig-a-Well can serve up to 200 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. On average, these wells serve up to 35 families. This will be done through Muslim Hands who have built wells for my family members, who confirmed that they received proof through pictures.

This sadaqah jariyah will not only benefit my Shabina inshaAllah, but will also benefit everyone who is able to donate towards it. Please donate if you are able to, no amount is too little or too much.

Hold your family close and dear, and cherish them for as long as you are still able to.
