In support of Shabba and Steve Kelly xx

Hi ,

My name is Jody King, I am reaching out to help raise funds for my good friend Shabba Don . Partner to Steven Kelly whom most of you will know well , a good friend and colleague to many of us in the film industry. Steve’s been a plasterer at the studios for nearly 28 years .

Shabba is also mother to her and Steve’s precious 5 year old son Jackson .

Shabba has been fighting an on going heartbreaking battle with cancer for 3 Years now .

Being diagnosed with the devastating palb2 mutation at only 30 years old , Shabba has been so strong and brave in her ongoing fight against this cruel evil disease . Which has seen her go through chemo 9 times and 15 rounds of radiotherapy in her young life . No one should go though this suffering pain and heartache so many times , but shabba has , and has done it with so much courage and strength for her young family . What seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel last year after finishing her 9th round of chemo treatment things were finally starting to look up , only now to be given the utterly devastating news after the latest scan the cancer has returned in stage 4 breast cancer . At this stage her cancer is now incurable . Every possible route for treatment will now be taken to slow down the spread of the cancer and give Shabba her best chance to fight for as much precious time with her family .

Effectiveness of the Treatment ahead for Shabba will be uncertain as everyone responds differently , the first treatment needed will be a private 8 day holistic course in the Netherlands to prepare Shabbas body for treatments ahead in the uk . I'm asking from the bottom of my heart for your help to support Shabba, Steve and Jackson with the funding to get Shabba out to the Netherlands for treatment asap. Funding will also be needed for further private treatments in the uk that the NHS cannot offer and for time off work for Steve to care for Shabba and Jackson . Please , Let’s help ease the huge financial burden that comes with this heartbreaking situation.
