My Story: Picture a young child between the ages of 2 to 4. Maybe you’re picturing your own child or a grandchild or some child you know down the street. Now picture that child on the streets of India or any third world country- abandoned, alone, crying out in desperation for her parents. However, her parents are nowhere to be found.  Her reality is searching everywhere for food, water and shelter……trying to just survive. That's MY story. I was left at the age of two with my older brother who was 4 at the time...  we were LEFT at a train station in INDIA.  The year was 1986.  (Please watch the movie/trailer LION- it was released in  theaters in 2016 - based on a true story of an Indian boy getting lost at a train station, put in an orphanage and then adopted to Australia – if any movie would come close to our story – this would be a 90% match to my own experience – a must see! – not suited for young children.) Thankfully, in time a police officer found us and took us to BSSK orphanage https://bsskindia.org/ and we started to receive the care we needed. We were adopted together at the age of 4 and 6 to very loving and generous parents here in the States. I am forever thankful for their hearts to have welcomed us into a world of opportunities! Fast forward to present day! 2019 My husband David and I are going back to INDIA for a 10 day trip! It is my deepest desire to make this a reality by 2020 or sooner!
