Help for cancer treatment

Hi everyone I am posting this on behalf of my aunt Araceli Tafolla who’s husband (my uncle, Felix Zamudio) recently underwent an emergency surgery.

This is my husband, Felix Zumudio who recently had emergency surgery due to a malignant tumor that was found near his pancreas.

In August 2022, my husband began to experience pain in his stomach, his stool was abnormal and he wasn’t able to eat. We took him to the ER where we was diagnosed with H. Pylori (infection in the stomach). He was given antibiotics then was sent home. About 2 weeks later I took him back to the doctor since he was still experiencing pain and was now throwing up black. The doctor said the antibiotics weren’t working and that throwing up black was an indication of internal bleeding and that he would need an endoscopy procedure done in order to know what was going on. He also informed us that with our insurance it would take weeks to get approved and there was a 95% chance it would be denied. My husband was in excruciating pain and didn’t have weeks so he left to Mexico seeking medical care.

In September he (my husband was the only one to leave to Mexico, I am still here in California with our 3 children) arrived in Mexico and was taken to the doctor by his family, and had the endoscopy procedure done, he was informed that he had 3 ulcers , 2 of which had already ruptured and a tumor. He then had surgery to remove the tumor. This is when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, thankfully the cancer hasn’t spread. After the tumor was removed the doctor informed my husband that he was able to get all the tumor and a bit more to ensure the cancer wouldn’t come back but that he would need a couple of chemotherapy rounds to ensure the cancer didn’t return.

Yesterday (12/16/22) we were informed that the cancer has returned. I am working a full time job while also caring for our 3 children. We have put all the money we have towards my husbands treatment and bills and are struggling to put together the $ needed for each of my husband’s chemotherapy sessions. It was difficult to put together the money for the first session but thankfully was able to and he will receive his first chemotherapy on 12/22/22. He still needs more chemo rounds in the future which is why I am making this GoFund Me. Anything helps, please help share this post.

Hola a todos, publico esto en nombre de mi tía Araceli Tafolla, cuyo esposo (mi tío, Félix Zamudio) recientemente se sometió a una cirugía de emergencia.

Este es mi esposo, Félix Zumudio, quien recientemente fue operado de emergencia debido a un tumor maligno que se encontró cerca de su páncreas.

En agosto de 2022, mi esposo comenzó a sentir dolor en el estómago, sus heces eran anormales y no podía comer. Lo llevamos a urgencias donde nos diagnosticaron H. Pylori (infección en el estómago). Le dieron antibióticos y luego lo enviaron a casa. Aproximadamente 2 semanas más tarde lo llevé de nuevo al médico ya que todavía tenía dolor y ahora estaba vomitando negro. El médico dijo que los antibióticos no estaban funcionando y que vomitar negro era una indicación de hemorragia interna y que necesitaría un procedimiento de endoscopia para saber qué estaba pasando. También nos informó que con nuestro seguro tomaría semanas obtener la aprobación y que había un 95 % de posibilidades de que se negara. Mi esposo tenía un dolor insoportable y no tenía semanas, así que se fue a México en busca de atención médica.

En septiembre él (mi esposo fue el único que se fue a México, todavía estoy aquí en California con nuestros 3 hijos) llegó a México y fue llevado al médico por su familia, y se hizo el procedimiento de endoscopia, se le informó que tenía 3 úlceras, 2 de las cuales ya se habían roto y un tumor. Luego se sometió a una cirugía para extirpar el tumor. Fue entonces cuando le diagnosticaron cáncer en etapa 4, afortunadamente el cáncer no se ha propagado. Después de que se extirpó el tumor, el médico le informó a mi esposo que podía extirpar todo el tumor y un poco más para asegurarse de que el cáncer no regresara, pero que necesitaría un par de sesiones de quimioterapia para asegurarse de que el cáncer no regresara. .

Ayer (16/12/22) nos informaron que el cáncer ha regresado. Tengo un trabajo de tiempo completo y al mismo tiempo cuido de nuestros 3 hijos. Hemos puesto todo el dinero que tenemos para el tratamiento y las facturas de mi esposo y estamos luchando para reunir los $ necesarios para cada una de las sesiones de quimioterapia de mi esposo. Fue difícil reunir el dinero para la primera sesión, pero afortunadamente pudo y recibirá su primera quimioterapia el 22/12/22. Todavía necesita más rondas de quimioterapia en el futuro, por eso estoy haciendo este GoFund Me. Cualquier cosa ayuda, por favor ayuda a compartir esta publicación.
