On Thursday, April 21st, we learned of the unfortunate news that my younger brother Mehmet Akif had been diagnosed with an extremely developed Metastatic Liver Cancer. We haven't been able to see each other as I was tied down by financial and work-related responsibilities. Now I want to visit him as soon as possible and accompany him to all of his doctor's appointments as moral support. I hope to help unburden his emotional distress even if it’s just a means of being there for him as much as I can.

 

Currently, his cancer has spread to the point that he can't be operated on. First, the cancerous area will be reduced with chemotherapy for 3-4 months, then they will try to perform surgery. In order for my brother to withstand the treatment of this disease, we will be seeking the usage of Alternative Medicine Methods so that his immune system may stay strong during this time. We need to use special herbal medicine, however, my brother's insurance doesn't cover such treatments, and for there to be any lasting effects he needs to continuously take these medications. Therefore I ask for your help in paying these excessive treatment costs so that my brother Mehmet has the best chance to have a successful recovery.

 

All donations would be used for the additional fees for alternative treatments which will be exported from Asia, other hospital fees which may arise during these difficult times, and the cost of the Airbnb I will be staying at with him. Please help my brother so that he may at least rest easy when it comes to the financial aspect of having to get treatment for his cancer.

21 Nisan Perşembe günü, kardeşim Mehmet Akif'e ilerlemiş Metastatik Karaciğer Kanseri teşhisi konulduğuna dair talihsiz bir haber aldım. Kardeşimi görmeyeli uzun zaman oldu. Özel bitkisel ilaçlar kullanması tavsiye ediliyor ama kardeşimin sigortası bu tür tedavileri karşılamıyor ve kalıcı bir etki için bu ilaçları sürekli almasi gerekiyor. Kardeşim Mehmet'in başarılı bir iyileşme süreci geçirebilmesi için bizim ailemizin karşılayamayacağı bu tedavi masraflarını ödemede yardımınızı istirham ediyorum.
