Amber will be 25 on Christmas Day. Born with lissencephaly she wasn’t expected to live past 8 years old. Amber lives at home
with her family and spends her weekdays at Austin’s place in saxonburg while we work. On October 16,2020 amber fell while being transferred from her wheelchair to her bed. She was admitted to children’s hospital of Pittsburgh for emergency surgery to have a rod placed through her leg. Due to COVID, amber can not go to a rehabilitation center due to no family contact. It is in amber’s best interest to be at home with her family to recuperate and regain her strength. We will be taking time off of work to help her navigate her new normal and help her regain use of her leg. All prayers are so appreciated as we take on this new challenge. God bless and stay safe!
