Blake Davis (Blakies) Medical Fund

In the early afternoon on 4th of July, after an average fun outing at the park, our sweet smiley meatball, Blake (or Bockydoo as his sister lovingly nicknamed him), stopped breathing. Just. Like. That. He was stabilized during two ambulance rides which led to Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego and our family has been there ever since. 

After less than a week, it has been an unprecedented and overwhelming ride of optimistic ups and torturous downs, painful decisions, and the utmost focus on our strong little guy. The Rady team currently has him comfortably sedated so that his little body doesn't have to work so hard until the path forward is remarkably clear. 

Although future treatment is unclear at this point, Blake will continue to remain at Rady’s indefinitely until a confirmed diagnosis, course for treatment, and long-term care are practiced proficiently.

All donations will go toward supporting Blake’s care (as costs quickly rack up and can be overwhelming) and the family’s living expenses while they focus on getting Blake back home as soon as possible. Truly, no contribution is too small. Thank you for considering to help this loving family. 

Life will take on a new norm from this point forward but for now we are playing his favorite movie Moana, reading his favorite book Thomas the Train A Crack in the Track, and singing songs to him like The Bear Went Over the Mountain (to which he recently started doing the hand movements).

Leah, Rob and Scarlett are special spirits to so many people. Please consider lightening their load and filling their hearts with as much support as possible.
