My name is Sara Abu Jaser, 21 years old, a dental student from Gaza in the third year. I write to you my story from the besieged northern part after 128 days of war and

numerous attempts to access the internet. After exhausting all other evacuation options, I hope this fundraising campaign can help me and my family during this crisis and allow us to leave for Egypt.

Before the war, my dream was to complete my dental studies and succeed in the field I've always wanted to study. However, after October 7th, that dream was shattered. The university, our home, and my sister's house were all destroyed.

Today, I speak on behalf of my family trapped with me in the north. The bombings around us are relentless, and we witness and hear death every day. Time is running out, and every passing day leaves us uncertain if we will stay alive or join those who have perished. My focus now is to save my family from death and bring them to safety.

This campaign is for my parents, my brothers Osama (23), Jibril (17), and Abdullah (15), and my sister Shatha (29) with her two children Aisha and Saeed, both under three years old. We've left our home several times after severe bombings, narrowly escaping death. In the north, where aid, water, bread, and basic necessities are scarce, we've lost everything – our memories, home, education, and sense of security.

My home and my sister Shatha's house was bombed, and her husband was martyred, (photos below) leaving behind Aisha and Saeed. I love them dearly. How can children endure war? How can I convince them there's no clean water or delicious food to ease their hunger? How can they understand that their beloved father is no longer with us, and they will never see him again? They are too young to endure this tragic experience. (Attached video)

As I write today, I don't know if I'll survive. After losing everything, our only hope is to share our story here to seek help that can enable us to leave Gaza for a safe place. My family and I are in danger today. My simple dream is to live in peace with my family, but this war might forever deny me that dream.

I've created this campaign to help my family leave Gaza for a safe place and live in peace, so I can continue pursuing my dream of studying dentistry. Your support means a lot to us, providing a new chance at life. Thank you to everyone willing to help us.

اسمي سارة أبو جاسر ٢١ سنة، طالبة طب أسنان من غزة في السنة الثالثة أكتب لكم قصتي من شمال القطاع المحاصر وبعد 128 يوم من الحرب بعد محاولات عديدة للوصول الى نقطة انترنت. بعد استنفاد جميع الإمكانيات الأخرى للإخلاء، آمل أن تتمكن حملة جمع التبرعات هذه من جمع الأموال لمساعدتي وعائلتي خلال هذه الأزمة والخروج الى مصر.

 

قبل الحرب كان حلمي أن أكمل دراسة طب الأسنان وأن أحقق نجاحًا في هذا التخصص الذي لطالما أردت دراسته. لكن بعد ٧ اكتوبر لم يتبق لهذا الحلم شيء. فقد قُصفت الجامعة بما فيها، وحوصر بيتنا وهُدم بيت أختي.

أحدثكم اليوم بإسم عائلتي التي أنا مسؤولة عنها والمحاصرة معي في الشمال. القصف لا يتوقف حولنا ونرى ونسمع الموت كل يوم. الوقت بدأ بالنفاذ وكل يوم يمرّ لا نعرف فيه ان كنا سنبقى أحياء أم نلحق كل الذين قتلوا. ما يشغل بالي اليوم هو أن أنقذ عائلتي من الموت الى الأمان.

هذه الحملة من أجل أمي وأبي. وأخوتي أسامة ٢٣ سنة وجبريل ١٧ سنة وعبدالله ١٥ سنة. هذه الحملة من أجل أختي شذى ٢٩ سنة وطفليها عائشة وسعيد الذين لم يتجاوزوا من العمر الثلاث سنوات.

خرجنا من منزلنا عدة مرّات بعد القصف الشديد على بيتنا ونجونا مرات عديدة من الموت بأعجوبة. في الشمال حيث لا تصل المساعدات ولا الماء ولا الخبز ولا أي مقومات أساسية قد تمكننا من البقاء أحياء. لم يتبق لنا شيء، ذكرياتنا ومنزلنا ودراستنا والشعور بالأمان. وإن انتهت هذه الحرب قريبًا وبقينا أحياء سيكون من الصعب أن نعيد بناء كل شي وحدنا. وأن أعود الى مقاعد الدراسة كما أحب.

قُصف منزلنا وبيت أختي شذى( الصور في الاسفل) واستشهد زوجها تاركًا خلفه عائشة وسعيد. أنا أحب عائشة وسعيد كثيرًا. ما يحدث أكبر منهم بكثير. كيف من الممكن أن يتحمل الأطفال الحرب؟ كيف ممكن أن أقنعهم أنه لا يوجد مياه نظيفة ولا طعام لذيذ لجوعهم؟ كيف لهم أن يفهموا أن أباهم الذي يحبهم ويدللهم لم يعد موجود بيننا وأنهم لن يلتقوا به أبدًا! إنهم أصغر من أن يعيشوا هذه التجربة المأساوية. أكتب اليوم وأنا لا أعلم ان كنت سأبقى على قيد الحياة أم لا. بعد فقدان كل شيء لم يتبق من الأمل لدينا الا بكتابة قصتنا هنا كي نحظى بالمساعدة التي ستمكننا من الخروج من غزة الى مكان آمن. أنا وعائلتي اليوم في خطر. حلمي اليوم هو أمر بسيط يحدث لأي انسان طبيعي على كوكب الأرض. أن نعيش بسلام أنا وعائلتي، ولكن هذه الحرب قد تحرمني الى الأبد من أن أحقق هذا الحلم.

لقت قمت بانشاء هذه الحملة لمساعدة عائلتي على الخروج من غزة الى مكان آمن والعيش بسلام، وحتى أتمكن من مواصلة حلمي في دراسة طب الأسنان. دعمكم سيعني الكثير لنا أنا وعائلتي، شكرًا لكل شخص سيقوم بالمساعدة وإعطائنا فرصة جديدة للحياة.
