Hi, my name is Sommer, I’m 22 years old. I found out two weeks before my twenty second birthday this October that I had a mass inside of me after dealing with a lot of health issues and being mis-diagnosed over several years. My mother passed away from cervical cancer when I was 16 years old. I’m terrified this may be my outcome as well. I’ve gone though several surgeries since October first. My last surgery resulted in having my gullbladder, appendix, some of my stomach, and ovaries and tubes removed. I have one tumor still left inside that they are unsure of how to treat. I have several more tests I need to go though for my doctors to determine where my cancer started and determine a proper diagnosis so then I can be treated correctly. I am asking for help because I can no longer work for the foreseeable future and I am unable to receive assistance because my boyfriend and I just moved out in august and got our own apartment. He makes $300 over the cut off limit for food stamps, and other government assistance. Since we live together I have to include him on all applications. Since I’ve had the surgery I have to be on a strict no fat diet. This disadvantages me as to I cannot receive food from local food banks. I am asking for money just for all around help. Paying for my car (our only vehicle, to get me back and fourth to appointments, grocery store when we have the money, and my boyfriend getting to work.) Keeping our lights on and heat. (Our apartment is all electric)

being able to buy the proper foods for myself because of my new diet. Just being able to live without fear that we won’t be homeless.
