Help Hannah Fight Breast Cancer!

Donation protected
On February 25, 2022, our dear friend Hannah Tharpe found out that the lump in her breast was cancer. The biopsy revealed that she has triple-negative breast cancer, meaning it is more aggressive and responds to fewer treatments. She has a wonderful team of doctors who are wanting to act fast and be aggressive with her treatments. Hannah is 30 years old, healthy, and in good shape which gives her doctors great confidence that she will kick cancer's ass.

Hannah’s journey will begin with IVF, to hopefully ensure she can grow her family one day. And if you know Hannah, you know she was put on this earth to become a mother. For the next two weeks, Hannah will be on high doses of medicine not covered by insurance, to make sure her egg retrieval will be successful. She has one shot. As most know, IVF is not covered under insurance and costs tens of thousands of dollars when all is said and done.

Once finished with the retrieval, Hannah will immediately undergo 3-6 months of chemotherapy. Following chemotherapy, Hannah will most likely have a double mastectomy and possibly radiation. Subsequent therapies after that will be determined depending on the response to chemotherapy and follow-up scans. Once she has been cleared of cancer, doctors will start the journey of putting Hannah back together, starting with breast reconstructive surgery.

Though Hannah has health insurance, there are so many expenses connected with this diagnosis that will be an out of pocket cost. The stress of financial uncertainty is something that her friends and family are hoping to remove from her plate as much as we can. Whether it's a donation, sharing your favorite playlist, or a text, all support during this challenging time will be appreciated.

Hannah would never ask for help, so we are asking for her. If you feel it is in your heart to donate to this amazing young woman, we would all be forever grateful. If you feel it is on your heart to share her story, it would mean the world. Lastly, we’re asking for all prayers to help get Hannah through this unforeseen, difficult journey ahead.

This is also a PSA to all women out there to get your annual mammograms and trust your intuition! Hannah found the lump a while back, and pleaded with doctors to take a closer look. She’s only 30. Do not let someone dismiss you regardless of your known/unknown family history or age!!
