SGHS FFA Alumni Security Gate Project

As a deliberate effort to increase security at our school, the Southern Guilford Agricultural Department and FFA Chapter, in conjunction with the Southern Guilford FFA Alumni, is looking to install an automated gate that provides access to the Jay Terrell Agricultural Complex and C.K. Siler Stadium. Our current facilities and stadium are accessed with a double gate that must be opened/closed manually and secured with a chain and lock. It is our goal, with the help of supporters, to obtain a single 18’ wide, cantilever gate that is automated. This new style of gate would allow access to only essential/approved personnel and emergency services.

Our fundraising goal is $20,000 which will furnish materials and labor to complete this project.

We hope to have fundraising complete and gate installed prior to the start of the 2022-2023 school year and football season.
