Dear friends, family, and all dog lovers, this fundraiser is set up to help offset the cost of medical surgery, medication and therapy needed to help sweet girl Maggie.
Meet Maggie! Maggie is a loving 6 year old beabull ( beagle/bulldog mix) Maggies favorite past time is sunbathing and barking at the critters that come into her yard. When she isn’t soaking up the sun, Maggie can almost always be found snuggling with the family watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and home improvement shows. She loves puppy treats, playing with her toys, and being with her family. She is one of the kindest and sweetest dogs.
Last year, Maggie was diagnosed with Intervertebral disk disease (IVDD). IVDD is a spinal disorder that follows from the herniating of an intervertebral disc and is very common in beagle and bulldogs. She has been doing great with her rehabilitation and the extra attention and love.
Unfortunately, earlier this week, Maggie was taken to the hospital where the family learned that Maggie now requires surgery and additional physical therapy as her condition has progressed. Her doctor feels confident that a surgery will give Maggie more than 95% chance to play, live a pain free life and correct from any future complications.
Maggie is currently paralyzed and needs assistance eating, medication administration, general caring for, and using the bathroom. Maggie’s family is proving around the clock care to help her remain comfortable while they determine what help they can offer her long term.
Beabulls generally live to mid teens so Maggie has so many more years to live, snuggles and wet nose kisses to give.
Please join me in raising hope for Maggie!
