Hello,

My name is Eliana Monroy, and I am 17 year old Junior at Marina High School, maintaining an A-B grade average. I'm reaching out because I'm looking to raise funds to rejoin the Marina Cheer team for my senior year.

I had the privilege of being on the cheer team for two years, where I earned a spot on the Varsity team. However, I took a break during my junior year to focus on academies and develop better study habits. Through this experience, I've come to realize that while school is my top priority, I can also balance it with the sport I love.

Cheerleading has always been a huge part of my life, and I've missed it every single day since stepping away. I want to return for my senior year because I know it's my last chance to experience high school sports and create unforgettable memories with my friends and family. Senior year as a cheerleader is special, and I want to soak up every moment.

During my time on the team, I was fortunate to participate in incredible opportunities, including attending amazing camps, engaging in team activities like CIF competitions, and even competing at Nationals in Orlando, Florida. These experiences were life-changing, and I would love to relive them one more time. Additionally, joining cheer again could open the door to scholarship opportunities, which would be life changing as I pursue my goal of attending a four-year university.

However, the financial cost of cheerleading is significant. My parents have kindly told me that if I want to rejoin, I'll need to cover all expenses myself. While I understand and respect this, the cost is quite steep. I need to raise $6,000 to participate in the program, which includes $1,000 for each of the three camps and $3,000 for the Nationals trip in Florida.

This is where I'm asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, would bring me closer to fulfilling my dream of returning to cheerleading and doing what I love one more time.
